Methodology

Evidence-based, replicable, decision-focused.

Every Sovereign Macro Lens report follows the same analytical framework, sources, and update cadence. Designed for institutional due diligence.

01

Data sources

National statistics offices, central banks, ministries of finance, the IMF (WEO, Article IV), the World Bank, BIS, OECD, and recognised commercial data providers for high-frequency indicators. Every chart and table is traceable to its primary source.

02

Analytical framework

A five-pillar macro lens: (i) growth dynamics and the output gap, (ii) inflation, monetary policy and rate path, (iii) fiscal position and debt sustainability, (iv) external accounts, FX and capital flows, (v) political economy and policy risk. Forecasts feed into suggested credit ratings and views on Fixed Income (Hard currency and Local currency) and FX rates. Bull, Base and Bear scenarios are included for those countries with significant event risk on the horizon.

03

Time horizon

A rolling 12-month view with shorter term opportunities spotlighted. Tactical opportunities and those driven by stated structural themes are identified. We make our assumptions explicit and update them when the evidence changes.

04

Update cycle

Core countries are updated on demand or monthly, whichever is more frequent. Secondary coverage is updated on demand or semi-annually, plus event-driven notes following material developments such as political developments.

05

Quality controls

Every report is versioned and timestamped. Where applicable errata are distributed transparently. Forecasts are tracked against outcomes and models reviewed at least annually or more frequently where warranted.
